WI Logo2Abbotts Ann W.I. was formed in 1917. We meet on the last Thursday of the month in Abbotts Ann War Memorial Hall at 7.30 p.m.  New members are always welcome and we enjoy visitors but there is no obligation to join.

In addition to our meetings where we have a variety of speakers there is a Walking Group, Reading Group, a Lunch Club & Supper Club and monthly coffee mornings. Our programme aims to reach all ages and interests.

During the year various excursions are arranged such as visits to the theatre, cinema, gardens and stately homes. We recently visited a local environmentally
sustainable farm and many enjoy the Craft Days where we get to practice new skills with varying degrees of success.

Abbotts Ann W.I joins in village events whenever possible. For many years we have provided refreshments for the annual fete (tea and cakes) and members offer support to the community in numerous ways including volunteering in the village shop and Church activities.

We support local charities including the Food Bank, collect milk tops for the Visually Impaired and like to support a local charity with the money we collect from coffee mornings and Christmas activities.

Abbotts Ann W.I. is part of The Hampshire Federation and The Anton Danebury Group which involves us in various competitions and events such as Darts, Skittles and Quizzes. Some members attend their Spring and Autumn meetings.
