DESCRIPTION:Christingle is a celebration that takes place in thousands of c
 hurches and schools across the country to raise funds for The Children's S
 ociety.\n&nbsp\;\nSt Mary's Fun Club is an after-school club at Abbotts An
 n School which is raising funds for the Children's Society by asking child
 ren to put any spare change into a collection candle.  At the Christingle
  service children will exchange these for a Christingle. \n&nbsp\;\nChris
 tingles are made from an orange decorated with red tape\, sweets and a can
 dle.  The orange represents the world\, the ribbon is the love and blood 
 of Christ.  The sweets are for the whole of God's creation whilst the can
 dle symbolises Jesus' light to the world\, bringing hope to people in dark
 ness.
