With the success of the AAWMVH recent refurbishments we are seeing a large increase in 3rd party bookings which is fantastic news. However, it means the hall committee need to be more proactive scheduling our village events well in advance to ensure the hall is available and that the local community get to attend the events they want. For example The War Memorial Hall now has a TV licence and one area we would like to explore is simple set-up sporting events, such as the Wimbledon finals, to bring people to enjoy these occasions together.
We therefore need an events coordinator to join our committee to be solely responsible for organising our events like the much loved Apple day and live music events. There is no need for this volunteer role to be involved in committee meetings and agenda items unrelated to the events. We aim to run 4 events per year so it is not an onerous responsibility and the committee will be at your disposal to help run the events.
