Announcing the SECOND NHS Health Check session as the first session quickly became fully booked.
NHS Health Checks with an appointment will be available in the Abbotts Ann Village hall on Saturday 11th October 2025 to ANYBODY who lives in or near Abbotts Ann including nearby villages.
Randox are carrying out the service on behalf of the NHS commissioned by the Hampshire County Council. This is to relieve the pressure on GPs and provide the residents of Hampshire the opportunity of getting a Free NHS Health Check.
There are two different health checks and there is an eligibility criterion for the Full NHS Health Checks which NHS England have enforced across the country.
- Full NHS Health Checks (30 minute check) – measuring your height and weight, measuring your waist, a blood pressure test, a cholesterol test, and possibly a blood sugar level test, which is usually a finger-prick blood test.

- Must live in the Hampshire area and have a Hampshire postcode OR be registered with a GP practice in the Hampshire area.
- Must be aged 40-74.
- Must not have had a health check in the last 5 years.
- Must not be taking any medication for high cholesterol.
- Eligibility criteria:
- Mini Health Checks (10-minute check) – Blood Pressure, Pulse and general lifestyle management guidance.
All community members would be available to get this health check as there is no eligibility criteria.
