SECOND CPR and Defibrillator Training Workshop run by a volunteer of the Ambulance Service
A training workshop was setup on 8th March and ALL tickets were sold within two days, therefore we have setup a second training workshop. If you requested to be put on the wait list you can now book your place in the second session.
You may not be aware that for many years the village has had two defibrillators located at the Eagle and Poplar Farm and, as far as we are aware, they have never been used, thank goodness.
Typically, there are 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year in the UK. Every second can mean the difference between life or death, and survival rates can be significantly improved with timely intervention. However, many people are unable or lack confidence about what to do.
The Hall Committee are running a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and defibrillator training workshop provided by an experienced volunteer from the South Central Ambulance Charity. There will be a charge of £5 per person, 100% of which will go to the Ambulance charity.
This SECOND training workshop will be on Saturday 26th April at 2:30pm in the village hall and will last for 2 hours, plus time for questions.

Accompanying children are free (no ticket required) with a paid ticket-holding Adult.
