Florence Sherwood Holland paternal grandmother of Eileen Edwards
She was born 23rd December 1885 and christened 3rd October 1886
at St Mary the Virgin Abbotts Ann. She was the daughter of Annie Sherwood
(daughter of John Sherwood and Mary Hannah Potter.)
Annie Sherwood later married Henry Fennell with whom she had seven children.
They lived at 50 Abbotts Ann

At the time of the photographs they kept a shop at Thruxton
with their bull nosed Morris taken in front of my maternal grandparents house
Ambrose & Blanch Harman which at that time was called "Roseada"
(after their eldest and youngest daughters ) this name was later changed to " The Laurals" by new owners.
This happened around 1926-1927.

It was probably posted by his wife Ethel May who taught at the school.
The old Redman family home
dating from the 1700s and demolished early 20th century
now the site of New House, Little Ann
and George Aldridge who married Ellen Redman
He was Sunday School superintendant at Upper Clatford Methodist chapel for 45 years
In this house the Primitive Methodist preachers
took refuge after being abused by Andover mobs in the 1830s
