WI Newsletter – February 2009

As February is such a short month, so the writer has decided will this month’s newsletter.

The walking group enjoyed a lovely stroll around Abbotts Ann this month, finishing at The Eagle for a very welcome lunch.

Sadly, this month’s meeting began with a minute’s silence for Susan Hibbert who died recently in Salisbury hospital and a donation of £25 will be sent to Denman College in her memory.

Members have decided to hold regular coffee mornings and Judy Wickham kindly offered to host the first one next month. If you feel this would be a more informal way of meeting us before attending a meeting, then please do get in touch. All contact details are on our introductory pages on this website.

Our speaker Dave Challoner gave a talk on his experiences both as a driving instructor and more recently has an examiner, with the aid of a power point presentation. He also answered members’ questions whilst the refreshments were prepared.
