Abbotts Ann Annual Parish Assembly 2016

It has been a very busy year for the Abbotts Ann Parish Council:

  • New Parish Council elected in May 2015
  • 2 long term councillors 
  •  brand new councillors
  • A new Parish Clerk
  • Retirement of Chairman after 27 years in charge
  • Election of a new Chairman
  • And to top it all, a new approach to the Annual Parish Assembly!

Taking place at the War Memorial Hall on Friday 8th April, we are going to split the evening into two parts:

PART ONE: 7pm to 8pm

Everyone from the Parish is invited to come and meet representatives of the Abbotts Ann Parish Organisations, and to have a chat with members of the Parish Council. Drinks & nibbles will be served.

PART TWO: 8pm to 8.45pm

General Q&A session with members of the Abbotts Ann Parish CouncilWe would like your help to make the first part of the evening a success.

We are going to run an informal session in which each Parish Organisation represents their group via visual displays and by representatives talking to all guests who attend. You may wish to talk about the aims of your organisation, the membership, notable achievements in the year, what you’re hoping to do in 2016/17, etc.

We will be using the Fete Committee’s large display boards and you will have a section of them allocated to your organisation to pin up posters, photos or other information you have. Alternatively, you can come along just as you are and talk to attendees.

We are keen to show off the range of Parish Organisations all in one room – it will be a great opportunity to see what all of the groups are working on, and to showcase the Organisations to members of the Parish.
